Masako Shimamoto was born in Osaka, Japan and immigrated to Los Angeles, California in 1978 with her husband Tadami. Masako and Tadami have two daughters, and have remained in Southern California for the past 30 years.
"Four Months" is Masako's first film debut. She enjoyed experiencing first hand the complexities of film making and enjoyed playing a character whom she could relate to in many ways. Aside from acting, Masako has also launched a jewelry line that includes hand made bracelets and necklaces made of Swarovski crystals curently displayed at Aya Salon... and in the film at her jewlery store!
Her other passions include fashion, cooking, and music.
