Kansas is a working Script Supervisor based on the outskirts of L.A.. Her credits include T.V. pilots, feature and independent film and the award winning short "Dada."
She found her way into the obscure world of script supervising primarily because there wasn't a huge demand for vertically-challenged P.A.s. She's often asked by set security, film extras and even crew; "What exactly do you do?' To which, she always answers with a smile on her face; "Well, aside from doing lots of paperwork, I get to follow the Director around on set all day and play with a really cool stopwatch!" In all honesty, Script Supervisors are responsible for maintaining the motion picture's continuity and for recording the production unit's daily progress. They are the only liaison between the editor and the director, unless we're talking about Daniel F. Scherl, who does both! Ultimately though, it's the Script Supervisor's job to make sure that at the end of the day the film can be cut together.
Film is her life's passion . Kansas loves being part of a timeless craft that is ultimately enjoyed for generations to come. "The whole process of filmmaking is, in a word....magic. To see a myriad of people contributing their talent and collaborating together to create a single vision of art is nothing short of awe-inspiring!" Her only other goals in life, other than to make films, are to meet Vin Diesel and learn how to fly helicopters. When she's not "scripting", she enjoys playing soccer, fishing, writing screenplays and eating Italian food.
