From the opening drum beat of the teaser trailer, you can hear that Amy Craze's music is a sultry blend of soul, rock and rootsy pop. It was that sound that Daniel discovered one day several years ago while surfing MySpace. He contacted Amy and asked if he could re-record and produce her gorgeous song "Before the Rain," which now graces the score of this amazing film.
Originally from Canada, while in L.A., Amy's unique style and sound captured the attention of Madonna's brother Mario Ciccone, who quickly stepped forward to become her L.A. based manager. This connection allowed her to tackle her next musical endeavor, to learn as much as she could about the business side of the music industry and acquire herself a position at what was then Madonna's record label, Maverick Records.
Now back in Toronto, Amy has continued with her writing, recording and performing. Recently she won the Ontario Independant Artist award and had the opportunity to sing with the Cowboy Junkies on their summer tour.
