Eighteen buses... Twenty planes... Five continents... Fourteen countries... One life.
"This movie is not what most people think it is at first glance," says Writer/Director Daniel F. Scherl. "We took a great deal of care to write it, and the time to shape it correctly, and I think that level of dedication shows from the first word in the depth of the film and its characters. This is the kind of movie every great actor wants to be a part of, and every audience member looking for something meaningful hopes for."
"Four Months" is the story of Anna and David, lifelong best friends living on separate coasts, who come together to share the journey of the last four months of David's life. However, it's much more than just a soul-searching film.
Says Daniel, "I didn't want to write another predictable Hollywood drama filled with overused, unrealistic and trite plot devices where you know the whole movie before you've ever seen it. There's enough of those. I wanted to write a beautiful story that both men AND women would enjoy and one where the best scenes are actually NOT in the trailer [smiles].
"Because I am also a musician I created the structure of the film like a symphony: there are fantastic sub-stories (or as I like to call them "counter-melodies,") that touch not only the aspects of life that tie us together; life, love, family and friendship, to name a few, but we also added plot twists and subtle ideas that I think viewers will love.
"Any good writer will tell you that in a truly great screenplay, no words are wasted. We really tried to stick to that when writing this story."
With a multitude of spectacular international locations, including Australia, Japan, Egypt and Switzerland, a gorgeous and sweeping musical score, and a story sure to be remembered for years, "Four Months" is not to be missed.
